Two Rubicon Publishing Series Awarded Learning® Magazine Teachers’ Choice(SM) Awards

Rubicon Publishing is pleased to announce that it has been awarded two Learning® Magazine Teachers’ Choice(SM) Awards.

Greensboro, NC, October 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rubicon Publishing is pleased to announce that it has received two awards from Learning® Magazine’s 8th Annual Teachers’ ChoiceSM Awards. Rubicon is being honoured in the Children’s Books category for their BOLDPRINT® Graphic Novels and Graphic Poetry series.

BOLDPRINT® Graphic Novels is a series of original graphic novels levelled for Grades 4-8. The combination of appealing topics, lush illustrations, and appropriately levelled text provide an accessible and easily digestible read for students. Aimed at middle school students, the Graphic Poetry series combines extravagant illustrations and compelling poetry, allowing all students a unique way to access poetry. Each series is designed to engage all students, including struggling and reluctant readers, by relying on vivid graphics to anchor attention while providing compelling information in manageable selections. According to TCA representative Heather Crews, “Both [series] were well received by our teacher-evaluators and their students as outstanding classroom materials.”

Learning® Magazine introduced the Teachers’ ChoiceSM Awards in 1994, and the program has since become one of the most highly recognized awards in the educational market. The entries are evaluated by a panel of teacher-judges who recognize merit based on quality, instructional value, ease of use, and innovation. In 2011, the panel awarded only 14 books with the prestigious TCA for Children’s Books official seal.
