The Y in Santa Ana Opens November 1st - New Aquatics Center and Speed Soccer Arena

On November 1st, 2010, the Y in Santa Ana will begin a new chapter in its 130 year history with a brand new Aquatics Center and Speed Soccer Complex. Programs begin November 1st; registration is now open. Y Programs provide new experiences and growth opportunities for all ages and celebrate common values of respect, responsibility, honesty, and caring.

On November 1st, 2010, the Y in Santa Ana will begin a new chapter in its 130 year history with a brand new Aquatics Center and Speed Soccer Complex. Programs begin November 1st – registration is now open. Y Programs provide new experiences and growth opportunities for all ages and celebrate common values of respect, responsibility, honesty, and caring.

The new Y in Santa Ana, located right next to Segerstrom High school, will feature an Aquatics Center with an Olympic-size pool, a lap pool, and a splash pool with play features for kids & families. The enclosed arena soccer complex, will host youth and adult soccer leagues as well as a variety of sports programs throughout the year, including t-ball, flag football, and adult basketball. The Santa Ana Y will continue to offer and expand Afterschool Care and Youth Leadership programs in the area, Kid Fit Club Childhood Health Program, and a variety of Community Services programs that support community members most in need. With a focus on programs that facilitate youth development, promote healthy living, and foster social responsibility, the Y in Santa Ana will continue to make accessible the support and opportunities that empower people and communities to participate and make a difference locally.

The Y is a nonprofit charity that serves the entire community; scholarship assistance is available to those that qualify. The philosophy at the Y is that every child, regardless of ability to pay, deserves to have a Y experience. Generous donors and years of service by driven volunteers and staff help make this possible.

Grand Opening Community Event – November 20th, 10 am – 2 pm
The Grand Opening will include sports clinics and games, free food & prizes, and entertainment by Radio Disney. The Olympic-size pool and speed soccer arena will be open as well as registration for soccer leagues and free programs being offered November 21st – 24th.
