Anderson Thermal Devices Introduces "RadReflect" Infrared Quartz Heaters (Lamps) with New Ceramic Reflective Coating That is "Good as Gold"

Anderson Thermal Devices, Inc. now offers a new ceramic reflective coated, infrared quartz lamp called “RadReflect.” The new coating has 95% of the reflective efficiency of gold, is less expensive, handles higher temperatures and has a longer life than gold coated quartz lamps.

Hawthorne, NJ, October 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Anderson Thermal Devices, Inc. now offers a new ceramic reflective coated, infrared quartz lamp called “RadReflect.” The new coating has 95% of the reflective efficiency of gold, is less expensive, handles higher temperatures and has a longer life than gold coated quartz lamps.

The reflective coating makes the heaters unidirectional— radiating most of the energy towards the substrate without external reflectors. Gold vaporizes at a relatively low temperature compared to the ceramic. Also, gold reflective material must be cooled to prevent overheating and cannot be used in a vacuum. These factors allow for the RadReflect (ceramic reflective coated quartz lamps) to be operated at higher application temperatures while keeping the back of the high quality quartz tube cool and thereby extending lamp life.

The reflective coating quartz lamps are available in shortwave, medium wave and medium wave fast-response versions allowing for the optimum wavelength and off and on speeds needed. The “RadReflect” lamps are available in single and twin tube configurations.
