“I am thrilled to have been appointed as the Medical Director for Autism Services Group,” says Dr. Mintz. “ASG is a professional network organization that offers a unique opportunity to help parents of children with autism access insurance benefits to secure quality managed services.”

The incidence of autism has created a national crisis as the Centers for Disease Control now finds that 1 in every 110 American children meet the criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Legislators in 35 states, including New Jersey, have mandated that group insurance plans provide specific benefits to children who have been diagnosed with an ASD.

ASG was founded to help individuals and families navigate through the sometimes very complicated process of insurance administration. ASG offers a distinct advantage to families, health plans, and self insured employers in helping individuals and families access the most suitable care in the most effective manner. It has been set up as a “one-stop” autism insurance benefits manager to fill the gap between insurers and employers, plan members seeking services to support their child with autism, and the autism services provider community. Services include: A single source to coordinate clinical resources; A credentialed provider network that includes certified ASD professionals with experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavioral, health, and related therapeutic services; Coordination of billing and reimbursement for ASG providers; Training and education services provided to professional and community organizations.

The Autism Services Group is the first comprehensive one-stop resource for families and providers dealing with Autism. Our mission is to create a seamless, integrated system of clinical and administrative resources that will deliver accountable, outcome-focused care. The founders of ASG are dedicated to serving families living with ASD and other behavioral health disorders. Their deep understanding of “how the system works” allows you, the provider, to do what you do best: help families.
