Receive press releases from By Email RSS Feeds: Sponsors Hole-in-One Shoot Out for Charity Pro-Am is sponsoring its third major charity event of 2010 with proceeds going towards educating underprivileged Thai children around Phuket province and beyond.

Phuket, Thailand, October 30, 2010 --( is sponsoring a unique hole-in-one competition worth 1 million baht (US$33,300) to benefit ‘Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation’ at the upcoming Pro-Am on Friday 5 November.

Any lucky amateur golfer able to score a rare ‘ace’ on the 167 yard 14th hole at Blue Canyon Country Club could redeem the prize at any property offered via’s massive network of hotels worldwide.

This marks the third major Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative benefiting Thai children that has participated in during 2010.

In March was a Gold Sponsor of 'Race to Survive Phuket 2010' with proceeds going to Accor Hospitality's Yim Kids Foundation which is dedicated to improving the social well being of Thai children in Phuket, Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

In April 2010 was a major sponsor of the annual Child-Watch Charity Golf Tournament organised by the British Business Association- Phuket, marking the eight consecutive years supported the event. Child-Watch Phuket provides full-time care for more than 70 underprivileged school kids who have been abused and maintains a day care for children whose parents are incarcerated. Chief Information Officer, Olivier Dombey, said the company was delighted to be a part of Phuket’s first ever charity Pro-Am golf event.

“It truly is a worthy cause because the charity educates underprivileged Thai children in Phuket, giving them the opportunity to study in English and expand their employment opportunities.
