Phoenix, AZ, November 16, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Phoenix author Antoine Maurice Devine has published "The Cure," a medical thriller based upon the true story about a joint clinical trial investigation by the National Cancer Institute and the Office of Research Integrity that led to the largest penalties and fines ever levied by the National Institute of Health.
Already downloadable with Kindle and Apple eReaders, access to the Smashwords distribution network makes "The Cure" (http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/23125) available for multiple eBook reader formats such as Blackberry, Android and Mac, and online eBook readers such as Kindle for PC and Nook for PC.
While there have been many stories written about breast cancer, Mr. Devine's novel delves into the reasons why breast cancer drug development has become the dominant force in the breast cancer research industry, creating unfortunate side effects fraught with conflicts, greed, fraud and a faulty drug approval process. The author skillfully weaves the recent history of the breast cancer drug business into an international action thriller.
