Vacations Inc Expands Its Vacation Rental Portfolio to Include Luxury “Ski-to, Ski-from” Townhome

With the start of the ski season rapidly approaching, Vacations Inc is delighted to unveil the newest addition to their vacation rental inventory in the form of a luxury 4-bedroom, 4½-bathroom townhome within the complex known as Base Camp at Jane Creek. Aside from the quality and amenities of the unit itself, what makes Base Camp very special is that it is the first vacation rental for Vacations Inc designated as “ski-to, ski-from.”

Winter Park, CO, November 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The term “ski-in, ski-out” has tended to be used fairly liberally to define condominiums, townhomes or private homes not needing transportation to get to or from the ski slopes, and in the strictest sense suggests that you can virtually ski in to the doorstep of your accommodation and out again. “Ski-to, ski-from” makes the distinction that there is a short walk to and from the unit to access the mountain trail system.

Base Camp on Jane Creek is one of the newest complexes in the Winter Park area and boasts a unique, private setting between two tributaries of the Jane Creek River, and butting up against the Arapaho National Forest and the Winter Park Ski Resort. Just 18 townhomes make up this exclusive enclave, and Vacations Inc is excited to announce that one of these very special units is now available to rent through our program.

On three levels, with 4 bedrooms plus den and 4½ bathrooms, Base Camp has quickly become one of the most sought after properties in Winter Park & Fraser Valley. Expansive open plan great room, dining room and gourmet kitchen occupy the main floor, with a bedroom and den downstairs and three more bedrooms upstairs. Comfort is the norm rather than the exception, with added benefits of private outdoor covered hot-tub, 1-car garage and heated driveway.

Regarding the “ski-to, ski-from” definition, President of Vacations Inc, Brian Lence explains: “While the free shuttle comes by the entrance to the complex, just a few steps away, it is possible to access the ski trail that connects the Mary Jane Mountain with the base of Winter Park without transportation, although a short walk is necessary. How short? Well, it’s about 110 paces through the trees on an undulating snow-blown trail, then up a 60-step staircase. I’ve done it with full ski gear on, boots on my feet and skis on my shoulder, in precisely 2 minutes and 15 seconds. I would say this is appropriate for good intermediate skiers in similarly good shape, couples and families with teenage children all with decent ski ability. I would recommend that beginners, families with young children and those that maybe not be as confident with their level of fitness take the shuttle – which is not a bad option anyway as it is literally a 2 minute ride.”

Vacations Inc is the longest established rental management company in Winter Park, Colorado having provided private vacation rentals in the Winter Park & Fraser Valley for over 38 years.
