Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters' Fall Festival and Holiday Bazaar Returns for 4th Year

The Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters are hosting a Fall Festival and Holiday Bazaar, with all proceeds from booth registration fees, game ticket sales, and bake sale purchases going to support the music and related programs of Pleasant Grove High and Katherine Albiani Middle School.

Elk Grove, CA, October 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters' Fall Festival and Holiday Bazaar will be returning for its 4th year on Saturday, November 13, 2010. Back by popular demand from vendors and the community, the event will take place between 10 AM and 4 PM in the Pleasant Grove High Multi-Purpose Room, located in Elk Grove at 9531 Bond Road between Waterman Road and Bradshaw Road. There is plenty of convenient parking adjacent to the multi-purpose room. The Bazaar is also fully handicapped accessible. It is an inside venue and will take place rain or shine.

This free event offers the entire community an opportunity to shop in a festive atmosphere, featuring 41 crafters, artists, and home-based retailers offering an incredible variety of merchandise. A list of participating vendors is posted on the band webpage and will be updated frequently. Retail vendors include Salt City Candles, Thirty-One Gifts, Celebrating Home, Mary Kay, Arbonne, BeautiControl, Avon, Cabana Lights Candle Co., Scentsy, Cookie Lee, Silpada, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Princess House, and JAFRA. A wide range of crafters from all over the region will be offering everything from embellished shirts to custom jewelry and accessories, all natural candles and bath products to watercolors, exquisite hand sewn jackets and household items to hand-drawn cards and holiday décor. All That Glitters Gold Recycling will be on site to appraise and purchase that old, broken or unwanted gold, platinum and silver jewelry. The event will also feature chair massage from a certified massage therapist, organic coffee sampling and sales, and food vendors offering nachos, frozen slushies, or freshly made tamales. The Boosters will be selling baked goodies, water, and cider and will be supervising fun activities for kids of all ages on the adjacent patio. The combined jazz band of PGHS/KAMS will be performing.

This event benefits all the music and related programs of both Pleasant Grove High School and Katherine Albiani Middle School. The Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters was founded in August 2005 with the opening of the new combined campuses of Pleasant Grove High School and Katherine Albiani Middle School in East Elk Grove. These schools serve the communities of East Elk Grove, Sheldon, Wilton, Sloughouse, Rancho Murieta, and Sunrise/Douglas. District-wide financial cutbacks in education have made community support necessary to continue providing materials and opportunities to the music students. The Booster Club exists to provide moral and financial support to the instrumental and related programs of Pleasant Grove High School and Albiani Middle School; the club is a major source of the fundraising revenues that provide for band equipment purchase and repair, music purchases, competition fees, cost for special instruction, and performance travel by band students. The Boosters are incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in the State of California.
