St. Armands Art Festival returns this fall for its 22nd anniversary. Traditionally held in October, this top ranked fine art show has officially been moved to the 2nd weekend in November, for the cooler, more pleasant temperatures. The top local and regional artists will join the nation’s leading artists as they line St. Armands Circle with their professional display booths, transforming this popular shopping and dining destination into a first-class outdoor art gallery. The public can meet and talk with the artists about their art and inspiration. The artistic media represented include paintings, life size sculpture, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage and ceramics with prices ranging from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures. Admission is free and open to the public.
This highly anticipated art festival, produced by Howard Alan Events, attracts locals and tourists alike for the wide variety of art on display. “Festival goers can explore the work of many artists from all over the country in this one location while supporting the arts,” says festival promoter Howard Alan.
The artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, are hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America. The event appeals to families and people of all ages as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections. Howard Alan comments, “Art is a tangible investment that appreciates in value while you enjoy it.”
