Adelphi University Launches New Advertising Campaign: Success

Adelphi University's new marketing campaign, “Success,” takes a bold direction that departs from traditional collegiate advertising. With it, Adelphi establishes itself as a world-class, modern university, transforming the lives of its students.

Garden City, NY, November 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Adelphi University has taken its marketing campaign, “Success,” in a bold and confident direction that departs from traditional collegiate advertising. Through the use of metaphor and analogy, bold positioning language, and a rich, newly created website built on the principle of “show me, don’t tell me,” Adelphi establishes itself as a world-class, modern university, transforming the lives of its students and preparing them for success.

The thrust of Adelphi’s 2010 campaign is based on the transformative power of the Adelphi experience. From the dedicated, personal teaching of faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and green campus to the abilities and character of our graduates, the Adelphi experience prepares students for rich lives of active citizenship and professional careers. Following on the heels of their newly drafted strategic plan, Adelphi 2015—the “Success” campaign reflects their ongoing focus on academic excellence, relevance, sustainability, and the provision of an authentic student experience.

Adelphi’s new campaign features simple, bold statements and organic visual transitions that demonstrate change, opportunity, and growth. Transformation is such a strong metaphor for higher education since it is inherently powerful and uniquely personal. Supported through a rich and innovative website (adelphi.edu/success), the campaign illustrates—through examples of alumni who have gone on to become a doctor to the President of the United States, federal judges, filmmakers, authors, cancer researchers, restaurateurs, advertising executives, business and healthcare leaders, teachers, and the creator of RENT—that Adelphi graduates have been achieving unique success for decades.

The Communications Team at Adelphi partnered with Phoenix Design Works to create a dynamic and fresh campaign that would resonate deeply with the many diverse stakeholders of the University community, communicating in a genuine and honest manner, the full depth and breadth of the Adelphi story. The previous advertising campaign, “Where 8 Schools Share One Vision,” was in place from 2007.

You can experience Adelphi’s new advertising and identity campaign and the many real transformation and success stories that bring it to life on the new Success website at adelphi.edu/success.
