)-- A new website is helping consumers make educated decisions about pedometers.
"Consumers have had a difficult time previously understanding what the best pedometer for them is. If you have gone to a sporting good store, you will be aware of how many options you have. With our pedometer reviews website people will find the decision making process easier," explains Laura Patterson, webmaster of http://www.pedometer-reviews.net/
Making sure people find an affordable unit to use is the number one priority for the site.
"The only thing worse than buying a pedometer that isn't right for you is knowing you paid too much for it. We are really pushing to educate consumers about the technology behind pedometers. With the right knowledge, we are confident they can make a better purchase," says Patterson.
The site is under development right now. Patterson plans to have the site complete in time for the holiday shopping season.
"This year is going to be prime time for pedometers. People are more interested in losing weight and staying active. With the right pedometer they can stay active and know exactly how much they are walking. I think many people this holiday season are going to be giving pedometers as presents. Why? Because they promote health, and people instinctively understand the importance," adds Patterson.
