Lombardia S.A. Partners with Octave Reservoir Technologies to Deploy Game Changing Oil & Gas Technology
Dallas, TX, November 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lombardia S.A. an independent oil and gas exploration and production company announced today that it has partnered with Houston, Texas based Octave Reservoir Technologies (“Octave”) with plans to deploy Octave’s cutting-edge technology products and services.
Octave Reservoir Technologies is quickly emerging as a leading oilfield service company by offering game changing permanent microseismic coupled with time-lapse VSP imaging for energy exploration and production.
As part of an ongoing strategic growth initiative, Lombardia has partnered with Octave Reservoir Technologies with plans for the development of select Oil and Gas assets in the Continental United States. The initial partnership with Octave will be the cornerstone of Lombardia’s seismic and microseismic capabilities and will help accelerate Lombardia’s aggressive growth and development plans.
The agreement with Octave will supply Lombardia with permanent ReservoirAlpha direct reservoir imaging services throughout Lombardia’s Oil and Gas operations, currently focused on major oil and gas fields in the US, such as the Eagle Ford, Bakken and Marcellus shale regions. Through the partnership with Octave, Lombardia will gain access to the most advanced seismic and microseismic well monitoring solutions available today.
The project plan represents the first time permanent microseismic and time-lapse VSP will be utilized from the inception of a production play on the Eagle Ford Shale. The technology will be listening to the drilling and stem tests all the way through to targeted hydraulic fracture stimulation. This project will set a new standard of reservoir surveillance and transparency. The objective of this program is to provide enhanced risk quantification with Octave’s seismic technology to reduce costs, improve production, and maximize value to investors.
Lombardia views this as an important step to enhancing returns to its investors within a fully "green-gas" production model, which ensures environmental risk is fully addressed from inception to exit.
