Anti-Bullying: Students Young and Old Practice Self Defense at Tournament and Win Big

Kids, teens and adults demonstrate that practicing self defense as part of their martial arts lessons gives them the confidence they need to beat their opponent. Bullying is a common occurrence and kids, teens and adults want to do something about it. Confidence is key in helping to prevent you from becoming the victim of a bully. Martial arts training provides students with the confidence they need to help them not become a target of a potential bully.

Wellington, FL, November 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The confidence and empowerment you need to help you to Not become a victim of a bully, comes from the knowledge of self defense, which is a part of every martial arts class at Allstar Martial Arts Academy. Self defense is practiced repeatedly, so that it becomes natural to every student – they don’t even have to think about a response, it becomes instinctual.

Recently, students from Allstar Martial Arts Academy put their self defense knowledge to the test, as they performed against others at a local tournament. Competitions allow the martial arts student an opportunity to see if they can really put their self defense moves into action, against an opponent. During the South Florida Karate Klassic held on October 16, 2010, Allstar Martial Arts Academy students performed outstanding against their opponents. Allstar Martial Arts Academy’s students who competed placed with at least one trophy and some placed with two or three trophies. At the tournament, competitors have the opportunity to place in three categories: forms, self defense, and sparring.
