Samurai Karate Studio Participates in Free to Breathe Lung Cancer Walk

Samurai Karate Studio, as part of their community service initiative, participated in the Free to Breathe Lung Cancer Walk, which was held November 7th, at the River Walk Park.

Columbia, SC, November 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sensei Chris Feldt, owner and chief instructor for Samurai Karate Studio, located in Columbia, South Carolina in Richland Northeast, recently participated in the "Free to Breathe Lung Cancer Walk" that was held on November 7th at the River Walk Park, just across the Gervais Street Bridge leading out of downtown Columbia.

"Cancer is such a terrible disease," commented Feldt, "it seems we all know someone that has been touched by this disease. My wife's grandfather, who was a lifelong smoker, died of lung Cancer."

The walk was to raise money in the battle against lung Cancer and according to the event director, over $21,000 was raised.

"This was my first time participating in this event," stated Feldt, "and the Riverwalk was just beautiful and it was such a nice event. I look forward to participating next year!"
