Apps2Go introduces their second game: Minesweeper Tournament 1.0 is a new version of the classical all-time favorite and is made for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. It's totally free and relies on iOS 4.2's technical innovations. Thereby Minesweeper Tournament comes with complete Game Center support, an In-Game voice chat, various 2-Player modes and gives you the opportunity to play in your local network.

Falkensee, Germany, November 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Don't fear mines. The free game Minesweeper Tournament expands the old gaming-experience by including a 2-Player mode that allows you to be part of exciting duels. Minesweeper Tournament adopts the properties of different devices concerning screen-resolution and design automatically. Even the high-resolution Retina-Display of iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G is supported.

Minesweeper is a true classic. The board consists of numerous covered fields which contain a limited amount of mines underneath them. The player reveals one field at a time and hopes not to hit a mine. The numbers on cleared fields provide information about neighboring mines. By combining these information, the player is able to locate hidden mines accurately. The player who is first to clear the board without hitting a mine wins.

Volker Bublitz and Stefan Zorn of Apps2Go GmbH Germany: "Playing together is what makes this version so special. Minesweeper Tournament supports Game Center as a whole, which makes it easy to challenge players from all around the world. The In-Game voice chat gives users the opportunity to talk to each other or even distract their opponent while playing. We like the fact that the users don't have to play for themselves. With Game Center, players are able to get to know each other."

Minesweeper Tournament 1.0: Welcome to the Rambo-Challenge

Minesweeper Tournament provides different "playgrounds" with explosive surprises. "Ryan" (easy) is a board with 8 x 8 fields and 10 randomly hidden mines. "Ripley" (medium) consists of 16 x 16 fields and 40 mines. It gets even harder on "Rambo" (hard). Here you have to locate 99 mines which are hidden underneath the 16 x 30 field board.

If you don't want to take part in these default challenges you can start getting into the game by practicing in the "Freeplay" Mode. "Freeplay" is a 1-Player-Mode in which you can customize the board to best suit your skills. Here you can vary the field-count and the amount of mines.

Volker Bublitz: "We utilize the newest functions provided by iOS 4.2 and gain important experience towards iAds and Game Center on the iPad as one of the first vendors. implementing iAds expanded our Know-How for subsequent projects and allowed us to distribute Minesweeper Tournament at no charge."

Minesweeper Tournament 1.0 (approx. 14 MB) is now available on the Apple App Store. The App is available in english and german. Minesweeper Tournament is totally free of charge.
