Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival Raises $30,000 for Cancer Funds

Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival Raised $30,000 to Benefit The Jane H. Booker Cancer Center at Riverview Hospital and The Cancer Institute Of New Jersey Foundation. The Asbury Park Press as Presenting Sponsor Will be Awarded The Prestigious Community Partnership Award. The Checks and Award Will be Presented at a Press Conference on Monday, November 29th, 5:30 PM at the Oyster Point Hotel, Red Bank, NJ.

Red Bank, NJ, November 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Red Bank RiverCenter and Rue Events Announces Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival; Raises $30,000 for Cancer Funds.

The Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival held on Sunday, September 26th, 2010 was a huge success drawing tens of thousands of people to the White Street Parking Lot to enjoy perfect pints of Guinness, Seafood specialties from over 20 top Red Banks Restaurants, and a variety of music including Celtic rock, blues and rock and roll.

The event was produced by Rue Events, Asbury Park in cooperation with the Red Bank River Center, with proceeds benefiting the Red Bank RiverCenter as well as the Jane C. Booker Cancer Center at Riverview Medical Center and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Foundation. The event raised $30,000 for the cancer funds.

Red Bank RiverCenter is a not-for-profit alliance of businesses, property owners, and residents working toward the economic vitality of the business district in Red Bank.

Nancy Adams, the executive director of the RiverCenter is pleased to announce that on Monday, November 29th, at 5:30 P.M. the Red Bank RiverCenter will hold a cocktail reception and Press Conference at the Oyster Point Hotel (Pearl), 146 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ.

RiverCenter will present checks of $15,000 each to the Jane C. Booker Cancer Center at Riverview Medical Center and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Foundation. Ruthanne Harrison of Rue Events commented “We are very pleased to have worked with RiverCenter in producing this really unbelievable event and hope to raise even more money for deserving charities next year!”

In addition to the check presentation, The Asbury Park Press, the presenting sponsor of the event, will be awarded the prestigious Community Partnership award for all they did to help promote the Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival. The award will be accepted by Sue Sirmons, Vice President of Marketing.
