Solving Complex Data Integration Problems in the Enterprise with Queplix Data Virtualization

Queplix Virtual Data Manager enables application and data integration necessary to support public, private and hybrid cloud architectures.

Sunnyvale, CA, November 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Automated secure integration of data sources to the cloud is now possible with Queplix Virtual Data Manager. In a new online video by Andrei Zudin, solution architect at Queplix, an overview of Queplix’s data virtualization technology is presented as a solution for solving complex data integration problems in the enterprise.

Queplix™ solutions easily support the application and data integration necessary to support public, private and hybrid cloud architectures. This includes industry leading public cloud products such as SalesForce.com®, Netsuite®, Taleo® and RightNow®and many others. Their Application Software Blades™ include the intelligence to connect with all critical Cloud based application structures. Queplix includes support for existing security models so that data integration can be effected with no impact to the existing data architecture. Application blades are smart and application aware – Queplix has knowledge of the table or the object structures and knows how to map them to applications deployed in the organization’s cloud architecture.

Different cloud architectures have different challenges for application and data integration. These include the interfaces, security model, the location of the data and the protection for data integrity associated with the connecting pathways. Many large organizations are building out private and hybrid clouds. It is their plan to extend existing and new applications into these new architectures for deployment. These cloud architectures are often driven by customer business models as well as regulatory and compliance issues that eliminate an easy deployment using a public cloud architecture. Public clouds have been very popular in customer relationship management and have now reached critical velocity across the full spectrum of enterprise applications. This is not limited to mid tier firms - small, medium, large and the largest enterprises are deploying products.

Data virtualization also provides all of the different integration interfaces required to access relational data and object data independent of all architectural considerations. Current support includes .Net - ODBC, JDBC, web services and the technology required to support proprietary API integrations. This positions Queplix with the ability to blend the various cloud architectures together and with chosen on-premise applications in a seamless fashion. Queplix converts all relational data that must be integrated into a virtual object metadata directory, enabling Queplix to deal with object representations both for the on-premise and the cloud based applications. This tremendously simplifies the issues associated with integration and ongoing data management.

One important benefit of Queplix™ Virtual Data Manager™ is that it provides a high-level interface suitable for a business level user - SQL programming is not required. During the integration process, Queplix abstracted the user from all of the problems associated with mapping relational SQL to object model entities. That abstraction is at the core of data virtualization and key to the automation, power and ease-of-use of any of our solutions. The other important benefit to the user is that because the Queplix object metadata directory includes what the user needs to know about security permissions, the user can allow access based upon specific permissions and group access lists and use the organization’s existing security model, without any changes.
