Wyndmoor Hose Company No. 1 Mourns Passing of Former Chief Joseph B. Timoney

Former Chief and 62 year volunteer department member passed away November 22, 2010.

Wyndmoor, PA, November 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The officers and members of the Wyndmoor Hose Company No. 1 regret to announce the passing of former Chief and 62 year member, Joseph B. Timoney. Chief Timoney was also the Industrial Representative to and past chairman of the Montgomery County Fire Advisory Board, serving for 13 years; after which time he became an emeritus member. Chief Timoney also served on the state and federal fire caucuses.

A viewing will take place at Seven Dolors Church, Wyndmoor, on Friday, November 26 from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, Nov 27 at 10 AM.

Following the Mass, there will be a procession of fire apparatus thru Wyndmoor, led by an antique fire pumper carrying Chief Timoney to Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Crossed ladders will be positioned at the cemetery entrance. An interment ceremony will take place at the grave side.
