)-- The SmartTOP convertible top controller offered by aftermarket automotive electronics manufacturer Mods4cars offers more every day convenience to Peugeot 307 CC owners: Open and close the convertible top from afar with just the factory remote. No programming or modifications to the original equipment necessary. The SmartTOP controller allows to open and close the top while driving (up to 40km/h / 28 mph) with a mere tap on the top switch. No more pulling over and holding down the switch, allowing for drivers to enjoy their cars with the top down more often.
“We are happy to announce that we now offer SmartTOP modules for Peugeot 207 CC, 307 CC and 308 CC and are certain, that our retrofit convertible top controllers offer the kind of convenience and luxury you don’t want to miss, once you’ve experienced it,” explains the company’s PR-manager Sven Tornow. “Our latest module again shows how much we have streamlined the development process,” he continues. Like many before, this module even allows starting or stopping the engine while the top is moving. All SmartTOP modules offer different function settings that can be programmed individually as well as a “main switch” which can turn the entire module off quickly when necessary.
Extra features of this module include separate window control (open and close) from the remote and comfort one-touch operation for the center console all-windows switch. With the standard USB port now present on all modules, configuration settings as well as firmware updates available free of charge can be quickly done with any Windows PC or laptop.
But not only Peugeot owners get to add the SmartTOP convenience to their cars: Alfa Romeo, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Mini, Opel, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and VW are popular brands supported by the SmartTOP series of modules offered by Mods4cars.
The top-down fun for Peugeot 307 CC will be available in December of 2010 for Euro 249.00.
