Local Florida Musician SloFunkPump Releases Video for "Santa Please '10"

Today, local musician SloFunkPump released a video for "Santa Please ’10 (Live in Nashville)", the perennial holiday tune that has become a Hollywood fan favorite.

“This year's session of 'Santa Please' was actually recorded live Christmas Eve 2007,” said SloFunkPump. "I was up in Nashville mastering the first record and we happened to be staying at the Hotel Preston when Jeff Keith (of Tesla) was playing a few country music sets. Pete and I were inspired and broke out the two-track recorder we had brought. Pete had this idea to record in the stairwell and it created an imperfect, yet powerful sound."

Each year, a newly revamped version of Santa Please is released the Sunday after Thanksgiving. "Santa Please '10" features SloFunkPump on acoustic guitar and vocals, with Pete Le Vine (producer @ Legend Room Recording in Palm City, Florida) on lead guitar.

“The video mixes images of the Missing Man Formation in honor of the fallen soldier with original footage we shot at the Hotel Preston,” states SloFunkPump. “I laid a few vocal tracks in my hotel room after we recorded the live version in the stairwell. Pete filmed it on his cell. But, in the end, we kept it completely live and didn't actually use that audio.”

50% of this year's proceeds from all versions of "Santa Please" will go to The American Red Cross and other Christmas charities. The other 50% will support the next record.
