Art Show with Wine Pairings, Featuring Kellianne Jordan Photography

Costa Mesa, CA, December 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Anne’s Boutique Wines in Costa Mesa, specializing in hard to find wines, will be the location of a unique art show beginning this week. Every month an artist is showcased in the wine shop and customers are encouraged to purchase art from the displays. This month Anne’s is bringing back photographic artist, Kellianne Jordan after her very successful showing last spring. Kellianne will select a bottle of wine to pair with each piece of art. Just like in food pairings, these pairings will be based on which wine is best to enjoy while viewing that particular piece. As an added bonus, you will receive a complimentary bottle of the paired wine with the purchase of the art.

When asked about the art she is showing this month Kellianne said, “I like to capture what most people call ordinary and turn it into a photographic piece of art. One of my favorite pieces of this show was taken on a rainy night on the streets of Florence with the shops closed up and just a few people walking by. It’s as if nothing is going on, and so much is going on at the same time. Like a serene energy. I think most of the pieces in this show can be described that way.”

“This show is a reflection of my travels through Europe. It’s not travel log, but a documentation of the hidden art of the cities. It’s my interpretation of Europe, but the small pieces of beauty that can be found in any city, any place, or anyone,” says Jordan.

The opening of the free art show is Thursday, December 2nd from 6 to 8pm, with wine tastings for $10. Anne’s Boutique Winery (www.annesboutiquewines.com) is located at 270 E. 17th Street, Costa Mesa.

20% of all profits from the sale of Kellianne Jordan’s art during the month of December will be donated to support the nonprofit organization Nuru International (www.nuruinternational.org), which is dedicated to eradicating extreme poverty by empowering rural communities to achieve self-sufficiency.
