Huntington Beach, CA, December 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Rock and Roll Emporium is celebrating the life of John Lennon on the 30th anniversary of his death with a memorial event featuring local author John M. Borack signing copies of his book, John Lennon: Life Is What Happens, and rare, limited edition photos from the collection of Lin Holland. The celebration starts at 6pm, Wednesday December 8, 2010 at The Rock and Roll Emporium 205 Main Street in Huntington Beach, CA 92648.

“With December 8 being the 30th anniversary of Lennon’s assassination, we wanted to host a memorial event that celebrates his music, life and legacy,” said Andrew Kirby managing partner of The Rock and Roll Emporium. The very special event will feature a candle memorial and musical tribute in addition to the book signing and photograph exhibit.

John Lennon: Life Is What Happens is a biography that features rare images of Lennon from throughout his career, juxtaposed with photos of the myriad pop-culture memorabilia that was created from the height of Beatlemania to Lennon’s untimely death in 1980. The book also contains dozens of quotes by and about Lennon, and features personal reminiscences from fans and celebrities recalling Lennon's impact on their lives.
