The Winners of the 9th Discovering Latin America Film Festival Awards Will be Announced Tonight

London, United Kingdom, December 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Tonight after the 8pm screening of Argentine The Window the audience present at Odeon Covent Garden will get to know the winners of categories Jury and Audience Awards of the 9th Discovering Latin America Film Festival (DLAFF).

This year’s official selection for the DLAFF Jury Award – Best Feature Film is composed by Brazilian The Famous and the Dead, Mexican To the Sea, Colombian Crab Trap, Argentine Brother and Sister and Costa Rican Cold Water of the Sea.

These five films, together with Mexican Tear this Heart Out and Brazilian In Therapy will also be competing for the 9th DLAFF Audience Award in the same cathegory.

A novelty in this year’s edition of the Discovering Latin America Film Festival (DLAFF) is that an Audience Award for Best Documentary will also be given to one of the documentaries which were exhibited during the film festival.

"With this innitiative Discovering Latin America aims to encourage documentary film-makers to submit their work for the next editions of the film festival," said German Martines, artistic director of the 9th DLAFF.

The Neurotic Times will be present at the ceremony and will report live from Odeon Covent Garden.
