Patricia Carragon of the Brownstone Poets, Along with Cindy Hochman, Will Make Melodies Happen at Jan Hus Church
New York, NY, December 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Poets, Patricia Carragon of the Brownstone Poets, along with Cindy Hochman, will make melodies happen Sunday, December 12 at 1 p.m. with their spoken words as part of David Morneau's Holiday Club Concert at Jan Hus Church.
Patricia Carragon is a New York City writer and poet. She hosts and curates the Brooklyn-based Brownstone Poets and is the editor of its annual anthology. She is the author of Journey to the Center of My Mind (Rogue Scholars Press, 2005). Her latest book is Urban Haiku and More (Fierce Grace Press, 2010). She is a member of Brevitas, a group dedicated to short poems.
Cindy Hochman is a resident of Brooklyn, New York and is employed as a legal assistant to a divorce attorney. She is the co-host of the Green Pavilion poetry event, a contributing book reviewer for Coldfront Magazine and the Associate Editor of Thin Air, a weekly poetry cable show in Manhattan. Her work is forthcoming in the New York Quarterly, Writing Outside the Lines, and a poetry/music project involving Shakespeare's sonnets.
David Morneau's Club Concert series consists of experimental music and the spoken word. Mr. Morneau does not compose his music with a ‘poetic power’ that emphatically discharges from his work enchanting you in a hallucinogenic state of borderline exaltation. He does not intensely attempt to infuse symbolism into his work and shows no melodic motivation whatsoever. This would not be David. So you ask, ‘Well, then what does this so-called proclaimed musical talent propose to do?’
