)-- The awards were for Best Innovation by an IT or Software Firm for Options, Best Innovation by an IT or Software Firm for Connectivity Services, and a silver commendation for Best Innovation by an IT or Software Firm in Trading and Execution.
David Sagnier, CEO, said “We are delighted that the panel of experts selected RFQ-hub as winner. We pride ourselves on responding to our clients requests and developing new and intuitive software. We have very supportive clients who we really enjoy working with, and to whom we are very grateful.”
RFQ-hub was launched in April 2009 and has built a solid client base amongst fund managers and investment banks across Europe. Initially carrying equity options business, it has quickly expanded to cover a wide variety of contract types in equity derivatives as well as other asset classes.
RFQ-hub is an electronic bilateral request-for-quote (RFQ) and electronic trading platform for listed and OTC derivatives. It covers global markets for listed and OTC equity and fixed income derivatives including futures, options, convertibles, ETFs, equity swaps and CDS. RFQ-hub automates the often manual RFQ process by enabling fund management firms to send RFQs and receive competing, tradable quotes electronically from RFQ-hub’s interface or their own systems. Using RFQ-hub reduces the amount of time spent by dealers on quotes and minimises errors by automating the process. Once executed by the counter-party, the trade record can then be sent electronically to downstream systems via RFQ-hub's API or over a FIX network.
RFQ-hub will help prepare the way for increasing regulation in the derivatives markets. It especially helps buy-side dealers, traders and fund managers with pre-trade transparency and price discovery. All interactions are recorded for later review helping, amongst other things, with trade compliance and demonstrating best execution.
