Artist to the Stars, Corey Frizzell Joins the Dalton Gang on WVRY 105.1 Solid Gospel

Nashville, TN, December 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Nashville’s Artist to the Stars, Corey Frizzell joined Gospel Greats, The Dalton Gang on WVRY 105.1 Solid Gospel to talk a little about upcoming projects.

The Dalton Gang’s music is heard nationally on Christian radio and television. The Dalton Gang has enjoyed Top 20 songs nationally. The gang is made up of husband and wife team Tom and Cheryl Dalton and rounding out the group is their daughter Troye. Tom has written songs recorded by some of Southern Gospel Music’s most popular groups such as the McKameys, Spencers and the Singing Cookes. They have been seen by millions on Christian television such as TBN, GMT, PTL, CTN, Daystar, Dove and many syndicated and local programs.

The Frizzell family, most famous for its prominence on the Country Music Charts, is now witnessing the artistic successes of the second generation. Although he has siblings following in the Frizzell music footsteps, who have accepted the challenge of emerging from the giant shadow first cast by the family music patriarch, Lefty Frizzell, Corey chose a different path, a path to create his own shadow.

Corey falls somewhere in the middle of the six children spanning four decades of Allen Frizzell, former Nashville recording artist and younger brother of the Legendary Lefty Frizzell and Country Star, David Frizzell. As the nephew of Lefty & David and the son Allen Frizzell, Corey, is proud of his musical heritage, but took a very different path, one not filled with creating music but instead with art and boxing. Although Corey's passion for boxing kept this former Golden Gloves Champion in and out of the ring for a decade, his love for drawing has always been there. Over the years he perfected his craft, starting with cartoons and now creating portraits for the general public. In 2006, Frizzell came full circle when he started creating portraits for Country Music stars like George Jones, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt and Willie Nelson to name a few. Although Frizzell’s portraits hang on the walls of many legendary Country Music Stars and writers, his works can also be found on display in many public venues like the KY Music Hall of Fame and the world famous Nashville Palace. It wasn’t long before Corey began to create stunning graphics and web design for the Bluegrass, Country and Gospel music industries. It looks like Frizzell found his niche, carrying on the family name while blazing a path of his own.
