Renewal of PA-DSS Validation for Reflection POS

National Computer Corpration (NCC) NCC Announces the Renewal of PA-DSS Validation for Reflection POS.

Greenville, SC, December 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- National Computer Corporation (NCC) a leading developer and distributor of point of sale systems for the foodservice industry, is pleased to announce the renewal of PA-DSS Validation for the Reflection product line.

403 Labs, LLC (a PA-DSS Qualified Security Assessor), has completed their review and testing of both the Embedded and Windows® versions of Reflection POS, and submitted a Report on Validation to the PCI SSC (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council) on December 22, 2010 for their acceptance and final approval.

The goal of PA-DSS validation is to help software vendors develop secure payment applications that do not store prohibited data, such as full magnetic stripe, CVV2 or PIN data and ensure that their payment applications support merchant’s compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). PA-DSS is a widely accepted set of policies and standards intended to optimize the security of credit, debit, and cash card transactions and protect cardholders against the misuse of their sensitive personal information. PA-DSS is the standard against which Reflection is developed, tested, assessed, and validated.
