Freefor Networks Launches 172 Websites Connecting Local People with Local Businesses

Tampa, FL, February 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Freefor Networks announced today the official Beta launch of its network of 172 websites, connecting local people to local businesses for free. The network of local sites allow users to promote and advertise for free, buy or sell goods and services, find local businesses, organizations, real estate, dating, news, post free job ads, play online with games, online radio & more. The architecture allows users to interact and control their online environment.

With a unique user interface and design, each Freefor Networks site has iControlDeck, an environmental control suite allowing users to create profiles and their own web page, with a unique in-line editor where you can simply click directly into the web page and edit the web page like a Microsoft Word document, without the need to preview. You can watch your web edits in real time and is a first for the Internet. There’s no need to be proficient in HMTL- iControlDeck loads Freefor Networks EZ Editor 2.0, a Word-like tool bar with standard text editing & CSS tools. For those of you who have already taken the time to create profiles on other websites, the Freefor Networks also developed GoFetch, a feature which automatically imports your existing profile into your Freefor Networks profile.

Businesses can also utilize the powerful features of GoFetch, capturing the entire contents of the home page of their company website if they already have one. Businesses can write articles and become the local expert, blog, list goods and services in the directory and classifieds. Everything is designed to enhance the users experience and provide a tool for local businesses and community members a place to market, shop and play for free.

Another amazing feature of the site is the ability to display and promote your eBay listings through the site and the ability to search for local eBay merchants who offer local pickup and promote local trade.

Although the site is designed for your local community, another unique feature includes the ability to switch views and change between a local, national or global view at the click of a button. The network is expected to grow with the United Kingdom joining the global community in March. More countries and US domestic sites are scheduled for activation throughout 2007.

Many of the networks features are already under continued development as the network evolves. “This is just the beginning for Project One,” states M Snell of Freefor Networks. “Our goal is to promote communications and self expression freely on a far greater scale, while always allowing the local community practicalities & belonging to be at the heart of everything we do. We have features within the network and others in production right now that challenge current Internet standards and go beyond what has been seen thus far. We have architected the environment and can’t wait to see what you do with it. It’s going to be an exciting year on the Internet!”
