2007 MEAC Greek Step Show Stomps Back to Raleigh

Raleigh, NC, February 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced today that the 2007 MEAC Basketball Tournament’s annual Greek Step Show will be held on Friday evening, March 9, 2007 at the Progress Energy Center in downtown Raleigh. 

National Pan-Hellenic fraternities and sororities from across the country will perform for MEAC students, alumni, and fans. 

“The Greek Step Show is a staple of our tournament and one that we know brings great energy to our fans and a strong sense of pride to all those involved,” said MEAC Commissioner, Dr. Dennis Thomas. “We anticipate a strong showing this year since it has always been one of our most popular events in the past. Whether you are Greek or not, we hope to see you there to show your support and enjoy the show.”

About the MEAC Basketball Tournament
The MEAC Basketball Tournament involves 11 Division I historically black colleges and universities located across the Atlantic coastline: Bethune-Cookman College, Coppin State University, Delaware State University, Florida A&M University, Hampton University, Howard University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State University, Norfolk State University, North Carolina A&T State University, and South Carolina State University. This year’s tournament takes place from March 5 to March 10 at the RBC Center. 

The tournament is played in Raleigh (Wake County) through 2008. Both the men’s and women’s tournament champion receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
