Chicago, IL, January 07, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Movie Premiere of "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward" in Chicago
Starting January 15th, 2011 @ 1pm and 5pm
At MultiKulti, downtown Chicago
Presented by The Zeitgeist Movement Illinois Chapter
"Zeitgeist: Moving Forward," Peter Joseph's third film, will feature experts in the fields of public health, anthropology, neurobiology, economics, energy, technology, social science and other relevant subjects which relate to social operation and culture. The three central themes of the work are Human Behavior, Monetary Economics, and Applied Science. Put together the work creates a model of understanding the current social paradigm; why it is critical to move out of it - coupled with a new, radical, yet practical social approach based on advanced understandings which would resolve the current social woes facing the world today.
One of the unique attributes of this work, which separates it in style from most documentaries, is that it has a parallel dramatic/cinematic theme, with notable actors, which abstractly plays out various gestures related to the overall message of the film. The work also vigorously employs numerous 2d and 3d visual abstracts/animations, while returning to the standard, traditional documentary orientation as the foundation.
As of this writing, there are 290 planned screening venues for "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward" in 30 languages across 55 countries and growing. This large scale release is not associated with any major distributor. Part of the counter-culture expression of this approach is to bypass all corporate media involvement and utilize independent groups, in a non-profit manner, which will show the work in their respective regions. About The Zeitgeist Movement And The Venus Project
The Zeitgeist Movement is the activist arm of The Venus Project, and was founded in 2009. With one half million members across the globe, it is proving to be the world’s fastest-growing, grassroots movement for social change to cross all barriers of nations, governments, races, religions, or class. Supporters of The Venus Project strive towards the declaration of all the Earth’s resources as common heritage to all the world’s people, and support the notion that “through the humane application of Science and Technology to social design and decision-making, we have the means to transform our tribalistic, scarcity-driven, corruption-filled environment into something exceedingly more organized, balanced, humane, sustainable and productive.” (Peter Joseph, The Zeitgeist Movement Activist Orientation Guide, 2009). Movement activists advocate moving out of a monetary system into a global, resource-based economy in order to create an abundance of resources to facilitate the elimination of crime, poverty, pollution, and war.
