Calloway's Nursery Weeds Out Hate with Seeds of Peace

Fort Worth, TX, January 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Jan. 17, Calloway’s Nursery will partner with The Weed Out Hate Organization chaired by Marc Daniels to pass out Sunflower Peace Seeds as a symbolic gesture to weed out seeds of hate and encourage the blossoming of peace and understanding.

Daniels, who is the grandson of the inventor of the Ross Root Feeder®, has challenged President Barack Obama to feed the nation’s ecological, educational and spiritual roots by inviting children around the world to the White House for a televised Weed Out Hate event.

To help Daniels further this cause in Texas, Dallas and Fort Worth Calloway’s Nursery locations will distribute free packets of his Sunflower Peace Seeds to the first 50 customers at each store on Jan. 17, 2011. Other garden centers around the country are participating in similar ways.

“At Calloway’s, we truly believe that life should be beautiful and that includes promoting positive initiatives such as this one. We are glad to be a part of such a productive movement,” Kimberly Bird, Vice President of Marketing said.
