CODA Builds SunSystems Team to Help Systems Union Clients Migrate

• Employs ex-Systems Union staff to ease clients’ transition • Migration tools in development to streamline move to CODA’s award winning systems • Significant incentives offered to clients wishing to migrate to CODA

Harrogate, United Kingdom, February 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- CODA plc, the finance systems specialist, today announced an aggressive package of measures aimed at attracting SunSystems customers following the acquisition of Systems Union by Infor in July 2006.

It has employed ex-Systems Union staff in the UK, as well as other countries in Europe, as part of an investment in services skills and migration tools to make the multi-award-winning CODA applications the obvious choice for SunSystems clients wishing to move. Clients who do move in the next 24 months will also be offered specific incentives.

“Since the Infor acquisition we have been approached by many ex-Systems Union staff looking for positions. The ease with which they have been able to learn the CODA products highlighted the strong similarities between the two systems, and with their skills we can now provide services to existing SunSystems clients and help them when they wish to move to CODA,” said Steve Dashwood, managing director of CODA GB.

“CODA-Financials has been based on a unified ledger since its inception 25 years ago, so is very similar to SunSystems in design, making migration relatively straightforward. In addition we offer advanced Workflow, a browser product, unparalleled multi-country capabilities and flexible reporting tools, so we believe we can add value for these customers.

“Our customers have always been impressed in the past when they have replaced SunSystems and they often choose CODA over Systems Union in competitive pitches, with recent examples including Manheim and Inspace. We are a stable UK company, continue to invest strongly in product development, and can support clients anywhere in the world, making us the obvious choice for anyone wishing to change.”

As part of its offering CODA has been recruiting staff including consultants with extensive SunSystems experience. “We have actively recruited ex-Systems Union staff recently, and plan to focus on this further during 2007. Bringing this expertise into the business means we can make the transition to CODA even more seamless for customers,” said Mr Dashwood.

In addition to specific incentives available, CODA is also offering SunSystems customers a Systems Upgrade Diagnostic. This is a detailed report compiled jointly by experienced SunSystems and CODA consultants, outlining the functionality benefits, efficiency gains, timeline and costing of a migration.
