Chef Adrianne's to Celebrate Its 4th Anniversary of Providing Maximum Flavor to South Florida Patrons

Miami, FL, January 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Chef Adrianne's, a Kendall, Florida-based wine and vineyard restaurant that replicates Napa Valley with a twist of South Florida, will celebrate its 4th anniversary on April 28th, 2011. The modestly sized eatery anchors one end of a neighborhood strip mini-mall and has a rather understated exterior that belies the elegance and culinary uniqueness that awaits inside. Chef Adrianne Calvo, the restaurant's proprietor and executive chef, has molded the establishment into one of the city's true dining pleasures while managing to keep a personable atmosphere that is underscored by her frequent one-on-one visits to her customers as they enjoy their meals.

Tenaciously persistent in her vision for every aspect of Chef Adrianne's presentation, the dynamic culinary artist admits that she was selective in who she retained on staff in the early years, and that the process was definitely one of trial and error. "One of the most memorable challenges getting the restaurant started was finding the right team to work with me, who understood my mission and creativity. I must have gone through 10 kitchen workers and countless servers," she recalls.

She founded Chef Adrianne's in a moment comprised of equal parts daring and opportunity, when she was presented with a tempting deal on a space that had most recently housed a Latin American cafeteria. Chef Adrianne's benefited initially from a true grass roots, word-of-mouth campaign enabled by the superb dining experiences the owner and operator consistently provided to her customers.

Her weekly Thursday appearances on South Florida Today, the widely watched local morning programming block on local station NBC 6, have helped to propel the visibility of her talents considerably since her segment, Maximum Flavor with Chef Adrianne, debuted in late 2008. With the increased notoriety has come the possibility that a well known face or two could walk through the front door at any time.

"The restaurant on a day to day basis is exciting in itself. You never know who’s going to walk through your door. At Chef Adrianne’s, I’ve cooked for mayors, governors, soap stars, journalists, anchors, reality tv stars. You name it, I’ve done it," comments Chef Adrianne. Yet, she emphasizes, all feedback is valued and appreciated equally.

"Each time a customer takes time out of their day to write about their wonderful dining experience at my restaurant on Yelp, Urban Spoon, Zagat, or any other foodie website, that’s just as big of an accomplishment."

Although generally well regarded in the South Florida community, Chef Adrianne has also encountered her share of adversity. A local print food critic has been particularly opinionated regarding the various aspects of the Chef's rather accelerated rise to fame, citing her young age, restaurant location, and even her aforementioned Maximum Flavor segment as evidence of Adrianne morphing more into fabricated celebrity than a hands-on culinary artist . The reality of her considerable day-to-day involvement in the restaurant's operation quickly contradicts the allegations of the writer, however.

"The burns on my arms prove that its not just about the accolades, I am at the helm of my stove every night," emphasizes Chef Adrianne.

Chef Adrianne Calvo looks forward to beginning her 5th year at the helm of her eponymous restaurant while remaining intricately involved in all aspects of Chef Adrianne's operation. Chef Adrianne's is located at 11510 Southwest 147th Avenue in the Hammocks sub-division of West Kendall in Miami, Florida. The restaurant may be reached by telephone at (305)408-8386.
