An evening with LeAnn Rimes April 1 at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino

Dover, DE, January 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Country artist and two-time Grammy Award winner LeAnn Rimes will perform in the Rollins Center at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino on Friday, April 1, 2011, at 9 p.m. Tickets are on sale today for $50 to $95.

LeAnn Rimes most recently released “Crazy Women” from her new album, Lady & Gentlemen, on which she interprets classic country songs by men. She easily crosses genres from deep-rooted country songs like “Swingin’,” currently nominated for a 2010 Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, to country-pop singles “How Do I Live” and the No. 1 hit single “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.”

Rimes’ powerful vocals and distinctive, emotional expression have been compared to Patsy Cline since her debut single “Blue” topped the charts. That breakout single earned LeAnn a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1997. She also earned the Best New Artist Grammy that same year, distinguishing her as the first country artist to win in the category and the youngest recipient of a Grammy, which she remains today. Rimes has sold more than 37 million albums, earned three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards.
