ORU President Rutland Launches Christian Leadership Institute

Dr. Mark Rutland, President of ORU, has partnered with Ministry21Network, part of Charisma Media, founded by Steve Strang, publisher of Ministry Today magazine, to co-host the National Institute of Christian Leadership in 2011.

Lake Mary, FL, February 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Mark Rutland, President of ORU, partnered with Ministry21Network, part of Charisma Media, founded by Steve Strang, publisher of Ministry Today magazine, are hosting the National Institute of Christian Leadership in 2011.

“Dr. Rutland has more than 40 years of ministry experience in non-profit organizations, small and mega churches, a mission’s organization and two Christian Universities—and he’s spearheaded major organizational turnarounds several times in his career,” Strang said. “Now, he wants to share that experience and wisdom with you.”

The Institute promises transformational information to help attendees navigate the toughest leadership challenges in the church and the marketplace. Rutland was inspired to partner with Strang because he was dissatisfied with leadership theories and impractical teaching. With the Institute, Rutland has set out to provide manageable, pragmatic lessons that help attendees lead organizations through directional turns.

The Institute features four three-day quarterly sessions, with the first event starting Feb. 7. Attendees have the opportunity to personally interact with Rutland, and attend an optional day of teaching on worship and preaching, as well as an optional day of writing and book publishing. Rutland calls it a “year of process to change your life and change your leadership.”

“Maybe you’ve inherited a situation that isn’t going well and you don’t where to turn. Maybe you’ve had great success but things have plateaued. Maybe you have a vision, but you can’t get your staff or board to align with it and you need someone with Rutland’s experience and expertise to show you the way,” Strang said. “Maybe you need to make directional turns or need to figure out how to turn up the gas to get more to happen. Dr. Rutland will codify what he teaches and make it practical.”
