Reno, NV, January 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Nevada will offer thirty-seven renewable scholarships to high school seniors who plan on attending college full-time next year. Students can apply online at www.rmhc-reno.org . All applications and supporting documents must be submitted by Friday, January 28, 2011.

“The RMHC Scholarship Program provides all high school seniors in northern Nevada, who wish to continue their education, the opportunity to apply for a scholarship and receive financial assistance to attend college,” said John Drakulich, scholarship program chair. “It is our goal to help make the dream of a college education a reality for students who may not otherwise attend college.”

The scholarship award can be used for tuition and books at any full-time accredited school, including trade schools and out-of-state colleges. Although this is a national scholarship program, students do not compete on a national basis. RMHC Northern Nevada only receives and evaluates the applications of students from the northern Nevada region.

“This scholarship is a great opportunity for high school seniors in northern Nevada,” Marty Ozer, RMHC Northern Nevada Executive Director, said. “The program makes it possible for them to act upon their potential and get some financial assistance too.”
