Cleveland, OH, January 27, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Today Therm-All Insulation, a leading manufacturer of laminated insulation products in the U.S., reintroduced ConSealTab®, a cutting-edge labor-saving system that eliminates the need for stapling insulation during installation. The insulation product, which was one of Therm-All’s first and most successful innovations, is a fully supported interlocking tab system that was first introduced in 1991.
During typical installation, insulation is fastened with staples every four inches. This means that every four inches insulation facing is penetrated, and gaps of up to an inch are inevitably created. These gaps may lead to thermal value loss, damaging moisture infiltration and more. ConSealTab® combats these issues and creates a superior vapor barrier by tucking the extended tab into the edge of the previous roll. Because the interlocking tab system fully supports the extended tab all along the edge of the roll, the end result is improved thermal performance, moisture protection and a seamless interior appearance.
• Provides 15-25% savings on sheeting time
· Offers a 14% better perm rating than rolled and stapled insulation
· Delivers an improved thermal performance
· Creates true, tight seals that produce a seamless interior appearance
· Is typically installed faster than stapled tabs
“ConSealTab® was first introduced 20 years ago, and with the introduction of new products, services and systems, it has lost some of its spotlight,” said Bob Smigel, President of Therm-All, Inc. “We’re happy to reintroduce it to our customers and enlighten industry professionals of its applications and capabilities. It truly has stood the test of time, and we’re proud to have it under our name.”
