“I was often getting treatment for my sore back,” says Ewins “ And during a regular session at the Chiropractors laying waiting for the loud click from my spine, it suddenly occurred to me – there is a need to design a tool pouch system that is not constant drag on my body.”
Ewins immediately set himself the task of reinventing the tradies tool pouch attachment system – something that has remained stagnant in innovation for over a century. Four years on, Ewins has launched the tool pouch brand Flip’N’Grip.
“The problem in the past has been that to get a secure pouch attachment, the tradies pouch has always been integrated with a belt. This means that pouches are a real pain and a hassle to take on and off,” says Ewins “What really is different about the Flip’N’Grip design is how easy it is to attach & remove pouches, and this makes such a positive difference in my day to day site practices.”
And how does it make such a positive difference in practice? “Well,” smiles Ewins, “I wear only the pouches I need & that keeps unnecessary weight off my waist; the rest are kept in my ‘onsite’ tool box ready for the next job. Another big plus is that I haven’t been to the ‘Chiro’ for over 2 years.”
“Our main focus at Flip’N’Grip” says Ewins, “is to give tradesmen and employers safer and more user friendly options when choosing their next tool pouches rig. We think we’ve managed that with our introductory range of pouches.”
