The Merchant Prince to Begin Carrying Sports Memorabilia

Answering to longstanding customer demand, the company will begin working with a major distributor of authentic Sports Collectibles.

Indianapolis, IN, January 31, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Merchant Prince is set to begin offering valuable Sports Collectibles to its customers, beginning in February. The company, a subsidiary of TMG Media Enterprises, Inc., says it is responding to intense customer demand for the products.

"Our customers have been asking for this for quite some time," says company President Troy Tyson. "We're already carrying current sports gear, such as apparel and gift items associated with the NFL, MLB, etc., so we've attracted sports fans to the site for that reason. We began hearing from certain segments of that crowd about their desire to see more historic sports memorabilia on the site."

Heeding the requests of its customers, the company soon agreed to a deal with a major authenticator and distributor of highly-sought memorabilia.

"A wide variety of sports and athletes will be represented," says Tyson. "Everyone from Mario Andretti, to Larry Holmes, to Ty Cobb. It's a pretty extensive collection."

As to what types of items will be carried, Tyson says, "The collection will be an assortment of autographed pictures, as well as actual signed sports gear such as boxing trunks signed by Joe Frazier, or baseballs signed by Yogi Berra, etc. The prices will also be very competitive compared to other market offerings. It's a great collection, and we're excited to be working with one of the country's top distributors to make it happen."

The collection can be found at www.themerchantprince.net/spco.html.
