Jewish and Israeli Community Hub Launches On-Line

San Francisco, CA, February 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Jewish News Place (thejewishnewsplace.com) has recently launched on-line and represents a new venue for discussion, news, and research. The Jewish News Place, the creation of Israeli software engineer, Alexandra Weiss and her three partners, is both a clearing house of information and a community hub for the Jewish people and friends of Jewish people. Their goal is to stimulate a fair and unbiased discussion of Jewish and Israeli issues, while also providing a large amount of information in a single place. TJNP offers news from outlets around the world and information on virtually all aspect of Jewish and Israeli life. They provide content about politics, art, literature, finance, business, and entertainment.

Unlike the vast majority of Jewish-oriented political websites, newspapers, or blogs, TJNP has no political agenda, offering news, opinion, and discussion from perspectives across the spectrum. Columnists at TJNP range from left-wing liberal J Street supporters to settlers living in the West Bank. They include Evangelical Christians who fervently support the Jewish state to Jewish progressives highly critical of that country. Sometimes commentary is in text and sometimes it takes the form of a video blog. Sometimes the content is serious and political and sometimes it is light-hearted and fun. TJNP co-founder, Michael Lumish, is emerging as a significant liberal critic of the progressive-left on matters related to the Arab-Israel conflict. He argues that the progressive-left has, unfortunately, become a home for anti-Zionists and for anti-Israel propagandists.
