Delaware Citizens Recognized at Black History Month Awards Banquet Feb. 26

Delmarva Black Chamber of Commerce to host event at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.

Dover, DE, February 09, 2011 --( The Delmarva Black Chamber of Commerce will host a Black History Month Awards Banquet on Feb. 26 to highlight the accomplishments of African Americans in Delaware. The event will take place in the Rollins Center of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino from 1 to 3 p.m.

Presentations will be made by Clay Hammond, Chairman of the DBCC. Recipients will be chosen based on their commitment to service in Delaware in the areas of religion, business, community service, media, education, government and arts/culture. The past accomplishments of other African Americans from Delaware will also be displayed.

The unique event will feature speed dating for singles, a mini fashion show, dancing, samplings of new spirits from United Distributors, cash bar, light fare.
