After five brutal years WWII has come to an end. Out of the ashes of war-torn Cairo the Muslim Brotherhood becomes a new kingmaker in Egypt. However, a rift develops in the Brotherhood and a secret sect splits off calling themselves the Brotherhood of the Caliphate. They are patient, cunning, and understand who their true enemy is. Now after fifty years the pieces are in order for them to make their decisive move. There are no instant gratification terrorists in this thriller. You will be introduced to a Muslim casino owner making his fortune during the mafia heydays of Las Vegas in the 50s and 60s, a former horse trainer and WWII spy living out his last days in Cairo, and their two proteges, who after thirty years have ascended the political hierarchy of the United States. A crucial mistake by one of the proteges has put the CIA on their trail. Lame duck President Allan Gray, who is already on the verge of having a mental breakdown, gives the CIA carte blanche to investigate. Desperately short of time, CIA director Malcolm Ray turns to undercover agent Anna Starks to unravel the mystery. She follows a trail of death and deception from Las Vegas to Cairo to Washington D.C. as she unravels the past in order to discover the dangerous plot unfolding in the near future.
