Corrosion UAE: Corrosion Prevention Leaders Gather at Abu Dhabi Conference

Key integrity and corrosion prevention experts to gather at the Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel, Abu Dhabi, from 27 February to 1 March for the inaugural Corrosion UAE Conference, co-hosted by NACE Abu Dhabi UAE Section and The Energy Exchange.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, February 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A unique surprise session will take place at 12pm on the inaugural day of Corrosion UAE, on 27 February, at the Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel, in Abu Dhabi.

The first day will set the scene for plenty of learning opportunities with keynote presentations from Dr Chris Fowler, President of NACE International, George Hays, Director General of the World Corrosion Organization and Dr Abudlsalam Abdulkader Al Hashem, Director of the Petroleum Research and Studies Centre at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research.

The morning will close with a unique outdoor session that will entice all the participants and provide insight into state of the art technology tools available in the market. Only those attending the event will benefit from this special surprise session, organised in cooperation with one of the event’s sponsors.

At the end of the day, NACE Abu Dhabi UAE Section will announce the winners of the Corrosion UAE 2011 Awards before the evening Social Reception.

The second day of the event includes an outstanding technical programme, featuring presentations from ADGAS, KFUPM, SHARQ, EXOVA, FERTIL, CORTEC and TAKREER, among others.

To close the inaugural Corrosion UAE Conference, the technical workshop will cover best practices in corrosion monitoring and prevention with experts such as Prof Robert Cottis, from the University of Manchester, and representatives from Sulzer Metco.

In addition to the main technical programme and unique networking opportunities – such as their landmark Speed Exchange Exercise – they offer participants the occasion to join the Corrosion UAE golf tournament, taking place on 26 February.
