Latest Bible Study Guide Series Explores "What God Wants for You"

A new series on “What God Wants for You” has just been added to the www.FreeBibleStudyGuides.org site, bringing the total number of practical, hope-filled lessons to 77.

Cincinnati, OH, February 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The United Church of God’s new Bible Study Guide series “What God Wants for You” (online at http://www.freebiblestudyguides.org/bible-map/) looks at the steps God has designed for Christians to take to move closer to Him and become more like Him. It examines the biblical passages that reveal God’s loving plan for Christian growth and transformation.

This seven-lesson series explores questions such as:

Is God calling everyone to participate in His plan of salvation now?
Are you being called now?
How do you grow in faith?
What is dead faith?
What does the Bible say we should do about sin?
What is worldly sorrow? What is involved in true repentance?
How was the baptism Jesus Christ brought different from John the Baptist’s?
What should you do before making the most-important lifelong commitment?
What does the Holy Spirit help us understand?
What tools do we have available to help us grow?
What should we be doing as we move ever closer to the return of Jesus Christ?
What wonderful relationship does God have planned for us?

These new lessons include links to many helpful related resources and provide practical “Apply Now” tips. The series was researched and written by Mike Bennett, United Church of God editorial content manager.

This new series on the process of Christian conversion and growth caps a year-long effort to post practical, hope-filled lessons on a wide variety of topics, from worry to God’s will, from the armor of God to the Great Tribulation, and from substance abuse to dealing with difficult people. Currently the site provides 77 lessons, with more on the way.
