Schultz Custom Homes and Remodeling Building a Glass House in Cabarrus County

Concord, NC, February 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Tom Schultz has been building custom homes for more than a decade with an extensive background in engineering. Tom's background combined with the creative talents of his wife Janet, have produced plans to build the most unique home that Cabarrus County has ever seen. Tom and Janet are both huge supporters of contemporary and modern design and have always known they would build a home which mirrored their aesthetic passions. These two had a vision, but knew they would need some help with the architectural elements of the project. In response to this need, Janet and Tom turned to Roger Layman, of Roger Layman Architecture PC in Davidson, NC. The end result of this extensive planning are the breath-taking blueprints for Gelassenheit, meaning serenity in German. Gelassenheit, the name the Schultz's have given their future home, will rest on a large and secluded lot in Mt. Pleasant, NC. The Schultz's have already begun to clear their property with imminent plans to begin building by the beginning of March. Gelassenheit will be built using environmentally conscious products as well as environmentally friendly methodology. Another unique feature to the home will be the immense number of windows used, leaving many to refer to the future home as the "Glass House."
