Ameridose Announces Outstanding 2010 Sustainability Results

Westborough, MA, February 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Ameridose, LLC, nationwide provider of sterile admixing services to hospital pharmacies, is pleased to announce the impressive results of its 2010 sustainability program. Three Ameridose facilities had combined recycling that totaled over 1.5 million lbs. Recycled materials included day-to-day manufacturing and office discards, as well as construction debris related to the new Ameridose facility.

In addition to aggressive recycling efforts, a new sustainability component was implemented at Ameridose on April 22, 2010 with the activation of a solar power system. Solar panel collectors are estimated to generate 70,000 kWhs of power per year and to save more than $1 million over the life of the system. Energy savings are also regularly achieved at Ameridose through the energy-efficient, natural gas-fired, infrared radiant heaters that are installed in facility shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas. The energy-efficient fluorescent lights and motion-sensitive lighting controls utilized throughout Ameridose facilities provide further reductions in energy consumption.

Ameridose is actively committed to reducing its environmental impact. Ameridose clients benefit from resulting improvements in operating efficiencies. Seth Traub, Vice President of Operations, Ameridose, LLC, stated: “I am extremely proud of the members of our Green Team as well as each and every Ameridose employee. Together, they ensure that our business activities align with our corporate sustainability goals. Their incredible dedication to sustainability has resulted in Ameridose having the best recycling rate and energy conservation program in our industry – a win for our employees, our community, our customers, and our environment.”
