Local Jewelry Appraiser Attends National Association of Jewelry Appraisers Annual Conference

Fort Myers, FL, February 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Cameron Pelle, G.J.G./NAJA Member and Gallery manager of Mark Loren Designs recently attended The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers’ 35th ACE annual winter conference in Tucson.

The Association, consisting of national and international membership is dedicated to the maintenance of professional standards, professional ethics and education in the field of jewelry appraising. All members must adhere to the professional Code of Ethics of the Association and all appraisal assignments must be performed under the constraints of this Code. Members in good standing must continue advanced education.

This year’s conference concentrated on several work areas which confront appraisers on a daily basis and updated their knowledge to keep them current. Lectures were given on ruby treatments regarding synthetics, glass and lead filled fracture filling enhancements. Authentication and grading of wristwatches with an emphasis on Rolex watches was given in great detail with current pricing and valuation a focal point.

Cameron Pelle, a native of Fort Myers, is a Graduate Jeweler/Gemologist of The Gemological Institute of America with over sixteen years’ experience in the jewelry industry. He is employed by Mark Loren Designs and is also owner of National Gemological Services, Ltd. since 2000. He performs appraisals and appraisal related services such as gem identification, gemstone grading, verification of jewelry purchased online, overseas, or privately, jewelry identification for estate purpose, wristwatch authentication and valuation.
