Dr. James St. Louis Named Chairman of Surgery Emeritus, Founder And Dr. Michael Weiss Appointed Chairman Of Surgery.

After 15 years of private practice in South Florida, he joined Laser Spine Institute’s surgical team in Tampa, Fla. as a senior spine surgeon in 2006 before relocating to Arizona to head up the surgical team at Laser Spine Institute’s Scottsdale facility in 2008. Since 2008, Dr. Weiss has been commuting back and forth between Tampa and Scottsdale.

As a continuation of this transition, Dr. James St. Louis, founder of Laser Spine Institute and chairman of surgery, will transition into a new role as chairman of surgery emeritus, founder. In this function, Dr. St. Louis will continue to perform surgery in addition to exploring new opportunities for the company such as building key business relationships and researching new medical advances.

In Dr. Weiss’s new role, he will continue to perform surgery as well as oversee surgeon and fellowship training for new surgeons and surgical practices.
