Please visit stand E35 for a demonstration and more information.
Ideal for datacentres and cloud computing installations, the Boston Green Power 2200-T packages eight high-performance, ultra-low power, Intel Atom-based compute nodes within a single 2U rackmount enclosure. This unique combination provides industry leading power optimised server density, and with built-in IPMI and 720W redundant high-efficiency Gold level power supply, it is optimised for high density performance and low power consumption.
Each of the 8 hot-pluggable nodes within a ‘cable-free’ twin architecture are based around the latest Intel Atom Dual Core 1.8GHz D525 processors with support for up to 4GB of DDR3 memory. Storage needs are fulfilled by 3 x 2.5” drives bays (per node) supporting both SATA 3.0 GB/s HDDs and SSDs, with integrated Intel ICH9R RAID.
“We have found that low power and power efficient computing are becoming ever more important concepts for the IT industry as power costs increase and environmental impact becomes more significant,” says Manoj Nayee, Managing Director of Boston Limited. “The latest Green Power 2200-T is a perfect representation of Boston and Supermicro’s thriving partnership and ability to meet the latest market demands, allowing us to create industry leading, power efficient solutions whilst still maintaining optimal performance.”
The Boston Green Power range is committed to taking care of a company’s corporate responsibility by producing industry leading low power servers with up to 94% power efficiency. By offering low power consumption, the Green Power range provides companies with a reduced TCO and carbon footprint, thus helping towards improving the overall impact on the environment. Indeed the innovative Green Power 2200-T consumes less than 35 Watts per node under full-load.
