Psychic Calls Burke a Spiritual Teacher with a Mission – Even Death Can’t Stop Burke as Namesake Teddy Bear Continues His Dream of Helping Others

Denver, CO, February 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- “Burke’s Tour” is the inspirational story of Burke P. Derr who had cystic fibrosis (CF) and who, according to psychic Steve Mucci, came to teach a very important spiritual lesson.  Burke died in 1997, but his namesake teddy bear is touring the United States and world countries as the “Ambassador of Love” to continue his dream of helping others through touching millions of lives and raising funds for CF research.

“I am awed and humbled by the impact my son, Burke, made in his short life,” Bob Derr said in commenting on his inspirational book entitled Burke’s Tour. “Even the psychic who told me about Burke’s mission probably didn’t imagine the worldwide impact,” he said.

Burke P. Derr touched many lives in his local community, and now he’s reaching other nations. He died in 1997 shortly before his 19th birthday due to cystic fibrosis (CF). Burke P. Bear, his namesake teddy bear, is creating an international “Burkemania” as the Ambassador of Love in visiting 38 states and more than a dozen world countries to raise an awareness of CF and over $300,000 for CF research. Equally important is the Travelin’ Teddy’s message to love each other, live peacefully, have fun, and find cures for CF and other diseases.

“Who would have thought that so much of a young man’s spirit could be captured in a little teddy bear?” a Virginia grandmother asked. She bought a Burke P. Bear for her four year-old grandson with CF and added: “When Burke is around, everyone just feels a little bit better.”

Derr, a lifelong spiritual seeker who is able to channel Burke, isn’t surprised by the effect his son had on others and continues to have through Burke P. Bear. “I think Burke was a teacher, like the psychic said, and the campaign/tour is a credit to the many organizations, businesses, and individuals who support us and who believe in what Burke P. Bear stands for. And,” he adds with a smile, “I still talk to Burke about this on a frequent basis and he agrees.”
